Phantom Pain

They say that if you lose a body part, a leg, a hand...that you may experience what is called Phantom Pain. Pain you feel in the missing area.
It is said that 60-80% of amputees experience this. They have some therapies that they hope will help with this pain. They say that sometimes the Phantom Pain gets better, sometimes the pain gets worse, but often the pain is very, very long lasting.

What happens when it is your heart that is no longer there? When you entrusted it to the person you love completely, and he has discarded it. How does one deal with the pain? How does one survive the constant Phantom Pain of a missing heart?
Some things you grieve over all your life.
