Wind in The Trees

There are very few things that are as calming to me as the wind in the trees.
There is something about hearing the rustling and watching the sway and shimmer.
Truly one of my favorite things!

A PERFECT SUMMER DAY

78 degrees
45% humidity
blue sky
9 mile an hour (delightful) breeze
skipping work for the afternoon

Melt My Heart

I have a picture of each of my grandchildren on my iPhone.
Each time one of he photos pops up on my screen, it melts my heart.
I love each one of them so much.

My Boy

My son texts me every day,
Some days several times throughout the day.
We talk over the phone regularly.
Once every so often, we Skype.
Today we did all three.
My son is an amazing man.
I am proud to be his mom.
I love him!!!!!

HAPPINESS

Yes, that is an old keg, on the wooden flat bed
of a five window old truck.... right in front of me.
This totally made my heart happy!
And yes, if I could have kissed the driver,
I would have.

I Like The Sound Of That

RASCAL FLATTS

I love hearing that shower turn on
Bet there's nothing but a towel on you
You sing along with some Timberlake bumpin'
But he ain't got nothing on you
I don't wanna hear the coffee pouring
A goodbye kiss, then lockin' the door yeah
Sounds like leaving you, ah
It's a little too loud on the highway
I wanna pull back in your driveway
It's way too quiet at my place
Wanna come on over, come on over
I just wanna hear that ringtone
I like it turned up when you're blowing up my phone
Wanna here you say come on over, cause when you tell me to come on over
I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Love the sound of the thunder roll in
It makes you move a little closer to me
And girl I bet that your neighbors hate us
Cause we could laugh all night and never sleep
We can worry bout the world in the morning
Light up a candle, lock the door
Wanna stay right here with you, yes I do
It's a little too loud on the highway
I wanna pull back in your driveway
It's way too quiet at my place
Wanna come on over, come on over
I just wanna hear that ringtone
I like it turned up when you're blowing up my phone
Wanna here you say come on over, cause when you tell me to come on over
I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Turn your radio on
Baby turn down the lights
I ain't going nowhere
I'm all yours tonight
It's a little too loud on the highway
I wanna pull back in your driveway
It's way too quiet at my place
Wanna come on over, come on over
I just wanna hear that ringtone
I like it turned up when you're blowing up my phone
Wanna here you say come on over, cause when you tell me to come on over
I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Yes I do
Ohhh ohh ohh
I like the sound, I like the sound of that
Ohhh

I love this man! He was always a helper!

VIEW IT NEW

A THANK YOU

One of my very favorite clients
stopped by my office today.
She is a fun and crazy lady!
I enjoy her so much!
She brought me this bit of happiness!
I was surprised and delighted!

She pulled her hot pink cell phone out at my desk,
and read the 5 remaining things
on her bucket list to me.
Number one is to see Alaska.
I helped her get that all in place,
she leaves next week!
She is very excited! I am excited for her!
I adore her!

( When we were done going over
a few details about her trip,
and she was ready to leave,
I told her I would be happy to
accompany her when she is ready
to take the next
item off her bucket list.
She wants to get a tattoo that says
"SCREAMING SEX"
She is old enough to be my mother!!
Totally makes me giggle!!!)

SUNRISE

A friend sent this
photo of the sunrise from
 Fountain Hills, Arizona.

They say that you take for granted
the things you see every day.

I can honestly say
in all the years I lived in Arizona,
I never took for granted the
spectacular sunrises or the sun set.

What I really miss,
is the mountains.

When I was younger I lived in Texas,
there were no mountains there either.

Maybe it's time for a road trip,
this girl needs a fix.

PIVOTAL MOMENT

I arrived in Kentucky three years ago today. I was on vacation with my best friend.
I fell in love with Kentucky. It is more beautiful here than I ever imagined it could be.
I knew then that Kentucky is my home and my heart belongs to a Kentucky Man!

Weekend To Do's

Yesterday I slept all day. I think I was catching up all that sleep that didn't happen last week.

Today I needed to do all the things I didn't do yesterday or last week.
The laundry is done, the kitchen is clean, the wood floor is clean and mopped. The bathrooms and bedroom still need some attention.
I also need to get some shopping done today.
So I ate breakfast.
I learned last week, that if I go to the grocery hungry I buy things I shouldn't. (I went to the store for bandages and came home with ice cream too!)
I may need another nap later today, but I'm going to stick to my grocery list for sure! Maybe!!

Happy happy half birthday my beauty!

Life is Passion...

What is more passionate than a woman?

If a woman can be what she decides to be,
If a woman can love and follow her own calling,
Then she can determine her own life.

When we admit to our passion we are free.

We can have what we want
and be who we want to be.

Cherry juice,
 Peach juice, Tang

"You make a pitcher of this
on a hot summer morning,
and you sip on it all day long!"
Truly Yummy!!!

Favorite Days

Today is one of my very favorite days.
Twenty Eight years ago today I gave birth to the most beautiful baby.
She was born with strawberry blond hair.
Even though the red hair didn't stick with her, the fabulously feisty personality did!
She is a true delight!!
Happy Birthday Beauty!

YOU ARE FROM ARIZONA WHEN

1. You can say Hohokam and no one thinks you're making it up.

2.You no longer associate rivers or bridges with water.

3.You know that a "swamp cooler" is not a happy hour drink.

4.You can contemplate a high temperature of 120 degrees as "not all that bad, after all it's a dry heat."

5.You know that you can make sun tea outside faster than instant tea in your microwave.

6.You have to run your air conditioner in the middle of winter so that you can use your fireplace.

7.The water coming from the "cold" tap is hotter than that from the hot" tap.

8.You can correctly pronounce the following words: "Saguaro", "Tempe", "Gila Bend", "San Xavier del Bac", "Canyon de Chelly", "Mogollon Rim", "Cholla", and "Tlaquepacque", "Ajo".

9.It's noon on a weekday in July, kids are on summer vacation, and not one single person is moving on the streets.

10.Hot air balloons can't fly because the air outside is hotter than the air inside.

11.You buy salsa by the gallon.

12.Your Christmas decorations include a half a yard of sand and 100 paper bags.

13.You think someone driving while wearing oven mitts is clever.

14.Most of the restaurants in your town have the first name "El" or "Los."

15.You think six tons of crushed rock makes a beautiful yard.

16.You can say 115 degrees without fainting.

17.Vehicles with open windows have the right-of-way in the summer.

18.People break out coats when the temperature drops below 70.

19.You discover, in July, it only takes two fingers to drive your car.

20.The pool can be warmer than you are.

21.You realize Valley Fever isn't a disco dance.

22.People with black cars or have black upholstery in their car are automatically assumed to be from out-of-state or nuts.

23.You know better than to get into a car/truck with leather seats if you're wearing shorts.

24.Announcements for Fourth of July events always end with "in case of monsoon..."

25.You have to explain to out-of-staters why there is no daylight savings time

26.You can say "haboob" without giggling.
