VEGA
Vega is located roughly 25 light-years from us, so it doesn't look quite as bright as some stars, but it is still one of the brightest stars in the cosmos. It is of interest to astronomers because it is relatively young — Vega is around 450 million years old, which is less than a tenth of the age of the Sun. Vega is visible in the Northern Hemisphere in summer among a group of three bright stars (the other two being Altair and Deneb) that comprise the 'summer triangle.'
*I’m not sure about all that scientific stuff, but I it was more than just a cool car!

I read an article on getting what you want out of life. It said to write down what a perfect day in your life would look like. The article explained how to taylor your vision of the perfect day and make it a standard to live by. Then the said to remove the thing in your life that is holding you back from living that perfect day.
I stopped and pondered. Chose my one thing. Mentally opened the car door and let the one thing out.
And now I’m ready to move forward on creating my new perfect day.

CONTAINERS
It has been said that I own an over abundance of storage containers. In my cupboard, there seemed to be far too many lids and containers. Every so often I would sort and organize, but eventually the cupboard was out of control once again. But today I was meal prepping, and when I went to put away the cooled Buffalo Chicken dip, I couldn’t find the lid that went with this one container. So I pulled ALL the containers out and started to put lids on each container. Somehow I ended up with lots of bowls and lids that do not go together. How does this happen? I purchased 99% of all these containers with corresponding lids. And now I’m missing lots of bowls and lids. How does this happen? I am pretty good at keeping track of socks and their mates. So how do I lose Tupperware? I sorted, matched and got more than a little irritable. So, into the trash went all the miss matched pieces. My cupboard is sadly less full, and I’m still disgruntled, but the meal prep is over and the kitchen is clean. Tomorrow I will take out the trash and attempt to not think of lost containers again. Then at some point I’ll take a look at the Ikea app and Amazon and I’ll order some brand new containers with lids.
VACATIONING
My son and I covered quite a few miles when we vacationed together. We went to: Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Avondale, Gilbert, Tolleson, Surprise, Glendale, Peoria, New River, Black Canyon City, Salt River Reservation and Scottsdale.
We shopped at both the Biltmore Fashion Park and Scottsdale Fashion Square. We also walked IKEA.
We tried foods from all over (and enjoyed the ‘not a chain’ establishments the best).
He took me to new places I had never been to before and I showed him places he didn’t know about. He showed me his work and how the past reinvents itself. He treated me to an amazing hole in the wall destination, that captivated my grown up Disney love.
We drove past homes we grew up in and the one I brought him home to when he was a baby. We looked at homes from our youth and homes we loved as adults.
We reminisced and shared history. We shared wisdom and losses. We shared struggles and coping strategies. We shared plans and goals for our future.
And even though my darling daughter in law was away, I had the opportunity to marvel at her creativity, her unending talents, her organizational skills and her spot on interior decorating wizardry. I love that together, this young couple had built a home that perfectly fits their personality and makes everyone feel at home as well.
On this trip my son and I spent so much time just talking, I loved that part the most! I had a jam packed, wonderful time vacationing with my son! Eek
