This is Where I Live

This is Where I Work

Last Day of the First Half

Today is the last day of the first half of the year. I love this day.
I woke up early and was out the door by 5am.
There was fog everywhere, making everything look magical.
I drove along the river in Newburgh then through farmland.
The fog hugged the fields and riverside.
As I drove between cornfields I watched the sunrise through the fog.
It was a beautiful orange ball at the horizon. As the sun climbed and
I made my way through the green of Kentucky, the fog vanished.
The magic of the green will always win my heart.
I have to say, this last day, of the first half of 2018 was beautiful.
It will always be one of my favorite days.

Eye Bling

I had an eye appointment today. And even though my eyes have only changed a little bit, it’s way past time for new glasses. The real issue is...the frames. I love my current frames. They came from Brighton. I fell in love with them. I am not a bling girl... not too much anyway. But I love those frames. The sad sad fact that Brighton no longer carries the same frames is why I have waited so long to replace them. I have been viewing what seems like a never ending supply of ordinary and odd frames. Then to my delight, in stepped Sophia Loren! Now to locate my dreamy bling new frames!
Lovely, whimsical, sexy and unique... yep sums up the bling I love!

Word of The Day

Aloha
Alo means bosom, the center of the universe.
Ha is breath of God.

Creating a spiritual power and sense of welcome.

Tossing Cookies

The human body is incredible. It can run like a well oiled machine. It can heal itself. It can creat another human body. Increadable! But when emotions enter the picture. The body doesn’t know what to do. So it starts doing random crazy things...dry mouth... what is that about? Butterflies in your body... why? Emotional over load... tossing cookies.....WHY? I don’t understand it. The emotions make me a wreck on their own, but add in tossing my cookies for days. Then when I had tossed up another batch of nothing, I get the brilliant idea to eat something so I will have something to toss.
Not Wise! Not wise at all! The human body is not very nice in the emotional roller coaster of life.

Quote of The Day

Overthinking vs Living

I read an article that said
“Stop overthinking so you can start living.”
I have to say that I agree with the statement.

Years ago I made some life changes. I found that learning to like, then love myself was vital.
Once I had reached that point, I realized that I was an investment that I believed in.
I took a leap of faith in me, and started down a new path. Sometimes the path is rocky or has quick sand. But overcoming those pitfalls helps me to pick the next fork in the road.

I think there are some universal truths:
One is knowing the real you, the you you really want to be.
The next is being honest and true to your self. That builds self love.
Next, value yourself. Treat yourself with respect and happiness.
If done right, this will become bigger than you, and you will treat others the same way.
Also, if done correctly, you will no longer care what others think about you.
(Because if they were happy and respect  themselves, they would treat everyone better too. If not, don’t worry, it’s not your circus.)
Then...Set those goals. Make a life list. Be willing to invest in you. Don’t overthink it until you talk yourself into defeat. Personally, I partner with God. We talk things through. I ask for his input. I listen. We create the blueprint. But, in the long run, it’s my effort and willingness to make a change that will achieve a result. If I continue to over think it, I destroy the structure.
Make the leap of faith in you. In your life, in getting what you want.
Deep breath, and jump!
It’s always the first step that is the hardest. Often times that first step is made in the dark.
But every step after that is more clear, the path becomes clearer, lighter, easier.
Don’t get me wrong, there will always be stepping stones along your path; life lessons. And there will be new forks that will need to be pondered. But when you stop overthinking and make that investment in you...That’s when life starts!

My FB Post Today

*A note from Angie
I took a few days away from social media. When I came back I saw entries of a dozen or so very strong men and women that I not only adore but love enough to follow on social media. They not only add fun to my life but they support the happy and positive wellbeing that I think most of us try to maintain, not just personally but socially also.
This just reconfirmed and reassured me that living the life I choose is up to me.
If you view my posts on social media or on my blog, that is super. The content I put out reflects me, my life, my point of view. It is a reflection of me, a snapshot of my world. I won’t ask you to agree or take a stand on the things I write. If you don’t like what I post, what I say, or what I do...don’t feel the need to view my posts.
My family looks at my social media. Everything I have socially put out there, I stand behind. I won’t hide who I am, my adventures or my life, because of what others will think. If you follow me, I hope you enjoy. If you don’t like what I say, stop looking at my social media. I don’t put it out there for your approval. I put it out there because I am enjoying my journey!

MAIDENS

Doing Brunch with Dave at Maidens. It’s a new brewery and pub just off of Franklin. It’s actually a really nice family friendly brunch and burger spot. I am very impressed. They kept the rustic walls. The building was originally a car repair shop with a ramp to drive the cars up to the second floor.
Then it was a bridal shop. It sat empty for years. And the music is great....”ANGIE”!
Food is great!!

Sleep

This amazing comfy big bed was so inviting!

Sleep and the comfy bed fought it out all night and I think I lost!
Good Morning from St Louis!

Drive Through Park

I also saw a live Racoon, a momma Goose with lots of little ones, and a squirrel who led the parade of cars down the black top pathway.
A perfect afternoon in St Louis!
