This is my last weekend of 55

In a week I will be a year older

I don’t feel any older

but I am so open to a nap every now and then

I think I am going to fill the next

week with lots of stuff and things

I look forward to another year

even if I am not looking forward to another number

THURSDAY NIGHT

After a wonderful dinner of ‘Beef and Barley’ stew, made by my beautiful daughter, we roasted marshmallows over the backyard fire pit. No pictures were taken, but Mayberry is still out there dancing around the chilly yard in the moonlight! Grammy is getting toasty under her Irish wool blanket. Happy Thursday Night!

As I was standing in the check out line, I saw a box of these treats. The small box was not that much, but the big box was a better value. The girl at the register said that everyone had been buying them all day. She said she figured they must be good. I told her they were and as soon as I had paid, I opened the box and offered her one. Then we both agreed that they were yummy! 

IRISH MOMENTS

This was one of my very favorite parts of my Irish adventure. It was everything I ever imagined country life in Ireland would be. I loved it

Today I tried it here at home in Kentucky! 

I actually made a canisters of soda flour like Tracey taught us and I didn’t add the salt. It turned out great, the crust was awesome and the crumb was tender and perfect! Next time I will use salt. I will also try Tracey’s sweet version.
