I met Martha today, she is from a big city in Central America. I asked what brought her to a little city in the Midwest. She told me a story of her first husband and following his job to Evansville. She told me how he called her to let her know about the interview and the area. He told her about Wesselman woods and all the trees in the middle of town. (The largest natural wooded park within a U.S. city) He was right, she loved the trees! Years later her husband was diagnosed with cancer. In his last few days, he told her he wanted her to find a good man once he was gone. Some time later she got a call from a friend who teaches a Spanish class. The friend was going on a trip and needed someone to fill in with her class while she was away. Through this friend, Martha met her second husband. But it was this new mans love of service at Wesselman Woods that let her know that he was the right one. Martha spoke of the men in her life and the things that make them incredible. It was so nice to spend time with Martha today. Her outlook on life is so clear and beautiful. She is truly a pleasure.
