I use to have an app that would let me mix sounds to create a sleep playlist. I mixed and experimented with sounds until I found what I labeled as “Kentucky Rain”. Then I visited Kentucky. I got to experience the sounds of a rainy night in the woods of Kentucky. It’s so much more than precipitation. The wind in the trees, the sound of the frogs, the owls. I can not duplicate the true loveliness on an app. The memories of the first visit to Kentucky are still so fresh in my mind. And my love of a rainy night is even more wonderful now. Waking up this morning to the sound of rain makes me smile. I love where I live!
