COTTAGECORE

As a professional internet person, I try to keep up with whatever the cool kids on social media are doing. And one thing I am absolutely loving is the "cottagecore" aesthetic. It’s basically a lifestyle that answers the question, "What if we just ran away from society and lived deep in the woods with the frogs in a moss-covered cottage and sustained ourselves by bartering mushrooms and homemade strawberry pies with our fairy neighbors?" The result, as you can imagine, is a lot of peaceful scenes of daisy picking, gardening, mist-cloaked mornings and quiet afternoons reading books by light streaming in through the canopy of a lazy oak. Not only does it sound like a dream, but it’s really nice to see younger generations embracing such wholesome, nature-loving, technology-light visions of the future. Personally, I can’t think of a better life goal.
