The Canadian dollar (CAD) is the official currency,

with notes in denominations of

$100, $50, $20, $10 and $5.

Coins are in denominations of

$2 (known as a “toonie”), $1 (“loonie”),

25¢ (“quarter”), 10¢ (“dime”) and 5¢ (“nickel”).
