I chat with my daughter just about every day. And the other day the subject of cookies came up. She sent me a pic of her favorite cookie recipe out of the “cookie bible”.
I grew up with my moms cookie cookbook. My children grew up with the same copy. When my daughter got her own kitchen, I gave her that copy.
Then I bought my new daughter a copy of the beloved book and a new copy for myself.
I love that my daughter’s favorite ‘go to’ cookie recipe is not the same as mine, and I love that her bible had her spin on the recipe written in.
I also love that the next generation of cookie lovers will grow up with the same cookie bible we grew up with!
