Life Is Good!!!
Independence Get Together
I don't go on FB very often. Usually when my son asks me if I viewed his latest post.
But recently I was on the book and I was viewing all my event requests.
Usually I just decline them. But there was one from a friend.
(I don't know this friend as well as I would like to, but I have enjoyed the times
we have hung out. She is the friend of a friend. You know, the friends you see on
birthdays, but no other time. This one friend isn't like the other friends at the table.
I have always liked that about her.)
I looked at the event request and I didn't quite get it. The date for the get together
was after the Super Bowl, and I don't think her team is even attending
the big boy game this year. The title of the event didn't fit the date either.
However I was intrigued. I accepted the invite and marked it in my iPhone
and on my planner. Then I sent her a note inquiring for more info.
Her reply "I am a single woman!!! So glad you are coming!"
I was sad. Sad that a "life long" partnership is over.
(PLEASE don't get me wrong; I am a true believer in marriage,
the institution of marriage is wonderful, something to be valued.
However I know very few, so very very few that are worth that value.
I believe that if the partnership is not growing, that the partners are not
being made better by the relationship, it's time to reevaluate.
ALSO, I believe that people don't leave because things get hard,
they leave because it's no longer worth it. It is far harder to walk away than to stay.)
But more than that I was sad that I do not know this friend well enough to be
aware that she was going through this. I know most people are private,
usually until the hard part is over, but I also know that it's hard to be the one
going through it and feeling alone.
I will be at that 'Independence Get Together'!
I am Happy to attend! I am happy that a new path is being taken by some one that
I think highly of! Happy to celebrate a new chapter in life!
Independence should never be celebrated alone!!!

2012 ~ 339
Knowing your limitations.
Knowing your boundaries
Knowing what to let go of.
Knowing what to cling and hold tight to.
Knowing what to try and what to pass up.
Knowing your self.
Knowing your heart.
Knowing not to compromise.
Knowing your boundaries
Knowing what to let go of.
Knowing what to cling and hold tight to.
Knowing what to try and what to pass up.
Knowing your self.
Knowing your heart.
Knowing not to compromise.
Drug of Choice
Im not a soda drinker as a rule, I don't do energy drinks and I haven't done coffee before.
Today I added one of these to my morning. (I haven't been getting enough sleep, so I was really dragging this morning)
And may I just say WOW!!! I could run laps!!!! Woohoo!!!

After work I washed the dog,
spent a few minutes with the kids,
went to the bank,
payed the bills....
Chopped down an over grown oleander. |
Hauled the remnants of said stupid bush out to the street, Washed three loads of laundry.... Then I decided it was ME Time! So I did some thing I haven't done in years..... |
I ran a Bubble Bath, And I added candles! |
Perfect ending to a productive day!!! |

Twenty Twelve: 342
This is the icky boy store. They take all your money and your time. |
This is one of the very loved tires. |
This is one of the new "Should let me go anywhere, off road or highway, tires!" |
Need I say how much I hate doing boy jobs.
I now need a good cry and some attention.
At least I can take care of the crying part.

My "Sister"~ Cousin just bought her very own house!
I spent the weekend in that cute house.
I learned how to use a drill! I even bought one!
We learned how to put up shelves.
We organized her garage. We planned new projects.
And found that in putting b**b into the job,
every girl can get any job DONE!

Have you ever though about
what your car says about you?
My first car was a Toyota Starlet.
I have owned 4 vans.
This week I will own a Chevy Tahoe.
I feel like a kid at Christmas. I love this SUV.
Every time I look at it
I know exactly what it says about me.....
that I am loved.
On my new ride,
there is this naked running guy!
This little guy bothered me.
I was thinking about googling
how to remove him.
But as I was talking to my friend David,
he informed me that that little running guy
represents
"Total Freedom"!
So I will embrace the little naked running guy
and his TOTAL FREEDOM!
This is my son's car. What does his car say about him? That he has some Awesome Friends! |

Please Read
A good friend sent me this link. I think in reading what the author wrote, we each have to listen to the message with our heart. Please don't be critical of the writer, of where she is in her journey, or what she views. Please don't be critical of the religion or the practices of the church. Please don't be critical of the parties, of the politics.
But be open to the point that is made to being a caring people, a country in need, in trust and love.
Please read this article with no judgement and no preconceived direction.
Perhaps what we need as a nation, as a people, as individuals, is more caring. To be more more caring and to show more care. Perhaps we need a national patriarch who puts caring for others at the top of his agenda.
Please read.

Thank you SDH, again, you made me think.
