I bought a Utility Knife and a set of blades today. Whenever I get BOY tools I tend to feel a bit adventurous. I unwrapped the shiny red metal tool. Then I looked on the back of the packaging to see the instructions on how to put the blades in. Then I looked on the back of the blade packaging to see if there were instructions there.
Don't get me wrong, it's simple to work and all, but I like instructions anyway.
However, there were no instructions on either product. BUT... There is a warning. Not the warning I anticipated, about sharp objects, or running with scissors, you know the warnings you think of when handling blades. This warning was so abstract for a shiny red utility knife and blades, that it made me laugh.
Please read:
WARNING: this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
What the heck do the crazies in California do with utility knives and why are they the only state that is aware of this stuff?
I'm going to take my life and health into my own hands and I'm going to use this product as I see fit!
After all... I'm in the Midwest.

TRAVEL PALATE
I have a passion for travel.
My
passion has always been there,
but as I have gotten older the fascination
and
desire to see new places, learn the history,
view worldwide architecture and experience
different cultures has become a preoccupation
(as well as my current
occupation).
There have been places that I have
wanted to see
since I was a child. Likewise, there are places
that I have never
had a desire to see.
That said, just like my ever changing culinary palate,
my worldwide
travel palate is expanding.
Germany is very high on my
NEED TO
SEE Bucket List…
The Black Forest, the castles, the architecture!!
However, I never thought I would want to see
Berlin.
Today I have to say, that is no longer the case.
There is so much to
see in Berlin, so much to do.
I am game! I want to go! Add it to my list.
My bucket list is overflowing!!! Let’s
Go!

WICKED WEATHER and My Harry Potter Closet
When I left the office last night I knew the storm was coming fast. However, it wasn't here yet and I didn't think much of it.
By the time I drove down Covert Ave, I was driving toward it, and the speed that it was heading toward me was amazing.
By the time I turned into my complex the wind had hit, stuff was flying in the air, then the rain started...it poured! I parked and had a very hard time containing the door so the wind wouldn't take it off. Needless to say, getting into the apartment was a trick. I was drenched and very windblown.
I couldn't find my puppy. She was hiding! I gathered our emergency bag and we headed to the Harry Potter closet under the stairs. I realized while in there that my little emergency resort, that I may want to reorganize or redecorate or something. The puppy was okay as long as she was on my lap and I kept giving her treats.
I have some great friends who checked on me ( I love cell phones). And I was also given some great advice for future events like this.
I have never heard the sound that the wind made before, nor had I ever seen the colorful shades that the storm made. It was SCARY...but COOL!
I did read that there was a tornado reported in Newburgh during the event. I live right down the road from there. As I drove to work this morning I saw many trees down and broken. I only saw one home with roof damage. I am sure there was far more damage. Thank heavens my short drive to work didn't show more.
We are looking to get more of this Wicked Weather tonight. I am looking forward to it!!

...and makes me happy too!
I don't remember what the flywheel is or dose.

Alton
I met a man yesterday who wants to take a train ride to Arizona. He told me of his research and his wishes. We talked about his travels. I told him where I am from, and he asked lots of questions. He asked me why I am here, and I told him. He told me a story of when he was a little boy:
When he was five, he and his dad took the train from their home to Kentucky. They were going to see his grandmother. When they got off the train, they hitchhiked for a bit, then they walked a gravel road. He said it was early morning when they were heading up the hill on that dusty gravel road. He asked me if I had seen how the dust from the road just hovers over the farmers fields, real low and misty like. I told him I had. He said that's what it was doing that morning. He said the ditches on both sides of the road were growing green brush and wild flowers, he said the air was crisp and full of the sound of Whippoorwills. (He had me google whippoorwills so we could hear them. They are charming) He told me how the little birds would just sit on the road. He said the sun was just coming up over the hill and the smell of Honeysuckle was beautiful. His dad picked him up onto his shoulders. Alton, with tears in his eyes, said "It was my Zippitty do da day. I had everything I needed in my world, I had my Dad. And I have never seen anything more beautiful than that morning."
He told me he understands my love of Kentucky. We agreed there is just no place more perfect. He asked me to marry him, I told him my man would probably not agree to that. But I thanked him for sharing his memory and for sharing my love of Kentucky. I'm not sure he's going to Arizona, but I hope he never forgets that morning in Kentucky.

Cisse's
http://cissebread.com/
I had a few extra minutes this morning, so I decided to stop into the bakery down Green River Road.
I found it on line a couple of weeks ago, and I was intrigued. It is small, and the charm I think of when I think small town bakery, was not there. However, it had it's own charm. The owner was the man at the counter. The prices were fare. I bought a few things and took them home. I am not a bread person normally, however, I think the yummy things I got will make lovely meals.
I recommend this bakery!

Tick Tock
To the one who enjoys sending charmingly painful email:
Beware!
The clock is ticking.... Your demons are about to be exposed. You know what you have done, and they will also!

I find it very interesting how selfishness can cause one to twist and transpose their poor behaviors and less than exemplar characteristics to make others believe it was all someone else's fault, these things were because of or done by someone else.
A true life hacker.
All I can say is that to accuse someone of your own actions while painting yourself the pure soul, dose not make you anything but what you are. It just goes to show how low you truly are. That not only are you happy with your falsehoods, pleased with your lies, but that you are comfortable sharing this muck with those you should only wish to better, to enlighten, to show love.
How is this benefiting their lives? How is this going to make your life better when they find the truth?

Air Traffic
On my way home from work yesterday I saw a jet crossing the horizon. I haven't seen a jet in months. I know they come and go from the little airport here every day, but I don't see them. In Phoenix I saw air traffic around the clock. Funny how something so normal in your everyday life, becomes extra ordinary when your vantage point changes.

Sometimes you have to make the decision.....and jump.
