Cranium
I was getting into my car, after filling it up with gas, somewhere in Tennessee, as I was watched a cute little boy as he walked around the the gas station without adult supervision.....yes I know that was an amazing run on sentence... I wasn’t paying attention to my auto pilot car entrance... I didn’t judge the distance or something... and I smacked my forehead on the door frame of my car. Yes, one of those moments that you hope someone is watching, because I’m sure it was super funny. However, not only did it hurt, really bad, and eventually become a bruised bump, right on my forehead! But at the moment of impact, I felt my gray matter hit the back of my cranium. I can tell you I haven’t felt a pain like that in a very long time. I took pain meds immediately. And sat still in the gas station until I felt okay to drive. Stupid moment!

Climbers and Jumpers are CRAZY
As I ran errands Friday, I headed to Henderson to put gas in my car. There was a young man walking on the south bound beige. There is nowhere for pedestrian walking on thes bridges, so he was walking in the lane. The semi that was sharing his lane made rooms for this young man by sharing my lane. As I saw him, I’m first thought was that this won’t be good. So I said a prayer for him and
continued on to Kentucky. Later I saw a friends post on FB about the climber on the bridge and how they had shut the bridge down. He must have started climbing just shortly after I saw him.
Later I read the local news and saw that the climber was also a jumper. Lucky for him, they had a boat waiting to remove him from that filthy river. Some people are just a bit crazy!

1st World Problem
My iPhone is braking.
The sceen is separating from the phone.
No, I didn’t drop it.
I do not understand why there are so few
Apple stores in my area.
The closest is just over 100 miles away.
I will be taking that drive to have my
phone looked at.
I’m addicted to my iPhone.
My Garden
I spent some time in my tiny garden yesterday.
The weather was lovely
and I got some planting done.
I feel very blessed to live where I do.
I am blessed to have so many birds,
butterflys and dragonflys in my garden.
I planted tomatoes, cucumbers and green beans.
This year I planted flowers,
although I don’t know their names.
And I planted all my herbs are in pots.
It was a perfect afternoon to be out in the garden.

Washing My Car
Yesterday I washed my car.
I don’t do it often.
But I have found that washing my car
is very therapeutic.
The cleaning out of all the small spaces,
the vacuuming, the washing and rinsing.
Brings out that pride of ownership.
I was 18 when I bought my first car;
a Toyota Starlet.
I loved that car. It was freedom to me.
She was white
and I thought she was awesome.
I washed her all the time.
My current car is a little bit bigger,
but just as loved.
I still love the feeling of freedom
I have behind the wheel,
and I still love taking the time
to wash my car.

Thought of The Day
You deserve someone
Who is going to treat you
Like you matter every day.
Not just when it’s convenient
For them.

Memories
Last night I dreamt about a dress I had made for my daughter. I had taken the fabric, lace and buttons from a dress that I had worn in my youth. I hadn’t thought of that little dress in years. But in my dream I remembered every detail. It was navy blue with tiny red cherries all over it. The lace was delicate and the buttons where pearly white. I remember my baby in the dress. Funny how our minds hold all those memories.

Root Beer
A friend and I went to this cool spot in
St Louis where they make their own soda!
It was a really neat place. I was also told you can buy their Root Beer in my local grocery!
It’s super yummy!!!
That Silly Feeling
Is there a word for that Silly feeling you get when you are driving behind a friend?!
It made me happy!
It made me happy!
Grass
Yesterday I walked through the grass with no shoes. I loved it. It’s one of my favorite things.
Last night I dreamed I was rolling down a grassy hill. Just like a little kid. Today I took my Sunday drive, and half the people in Kentucky were cutting their grass. I love how green the world is here; the grass, the trees.
I love where I live...it’s beautiful!!
