Last week I took a drive to Owensboro.
I love it there.
The area had been hit by several hard storms
in the past few weeks.
I saw many downed trees
and damaged buildings.
As I saw the huge broken and splintered trees,
I realized that this is nothing new to the area.
I guess I thought that it would be disaster,
but it wasn't.
The trees were being cut and hauled,
the buildings were tarped and being repaired.
I was in awe at how the damage was
part of the cycle of life so to speak.
There was a convertible going down
highway 56, the picture of a Sunday drive.
And as I drove, I once again fell in love with summer in Kentucky.
