SHE CAME FOR A VISIT

Bambi came to visit me the other day. 
She came out of the woods across the road, 
I was on my front porch. 
She wasn't afraid, 
she came through the meadow and crossed the road, 
then walked up into my yard. 
She kept looking at me as she came closer and closer. 
She came right up between the trees. 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE where I live!!!

REALLY???

I tend to get turned around here in my new town, so I pull over to check my GPS once in a while (okay, OFTEN). Today I pulled along side a gas station. When I was once again on the same page with my GPS, I looked out at the door in front of my Tahoe.

The first thing I saw was that the Women and Men would be sharing the same rest room. I was glad I didn't need to visit! 

BUT then to my bewilderment I realized that the lock was on the outside of the door. 

WHY???

I may get lost when I go exploring, however I made a mental note today to Not ever visit this spot again!!!!!

KEEPING IT IN SIGHT

As I was looking at City Hall, 

I guess I was surprised to 

see all the power and telephone lines 

stretching from place to place. 

I am spoiled I guess, 

I am not used to seeing the hardware 

that keeps us modern any more. 

Big cities bury the lines now, 

small towns don't make 

that a priority I guess. I don't mind. 

Just took me back.

I keep looking for Andy and Opie!!!

LUNCH AT THE PARK

There was a "Cruse In" Car Show 

at Yellow Creek Park today. 

This truly is one of favorite places on Earth.

The cars and old trucks were wonderful.

But I enjoyed the inhabitants also!

 the Fishing Deck.....

Nope, he was looking out for
his HOT CHICK!!

Interesting how the party at the pond is segregated.
 (I noticed that hey didn't even speak to each other.)  

There is so much green.
And this is only a tiny bit,
The woods are my passion!!

(Lunch: Chilled Sweet Tea, A Peach, Blueberries and Potato Chips....Because I wanted them!)

MY REASONING....I KNOW I'M WORTH IT

I'm not sure there ever will be more time or money, at least in my future, that's why I decided to take a leap of faith on the only thing I was sure of, and that was me. I figured it was time to get started with life. The only person that you can make happy is the person you look at in the mirror. If you aren't happy with you, you will never have enough, nor will you ever be happy with anything else!

FAT HAPPY FARMS

I think we tend to be unaware until life is in our path and we see it with our own eyes. 

As Mark and I drove through Texas, we could smell it before we could see it. He asked what it was. I told him it was "COWS". Sure enough, there was a huge 'cow farm'. I was sad to see the state of those poor animals; hundreds in pens, in muck and mire. There was no grass, no roaming, no beauty at all. Mark said "It's like the Holocaust for cows." I had to agree. Inhumane. Since then I have been to a chicken farm. I can tell you I was horrified. Long white buildings with rank ventilation systems. Thousands of chickens inside each building, in total darkness. Again, no grass, no roaming, no beauty. 

Mark and I made an effort to find beauty in our trip. (You can find it in most places. It's something I have tried to do since I was a child; we need to see the beauty or we loose something.)

After getting out of the desert we found beauty everywhere. 

We found lots of Fat Happy Cows, on acres of green grass, by charming ponds. I have seen chickens wondering farms; Fat Happy Chickens, truly being happy.

I left the city, looking for beauty all around me. I can tell you it makes my heart more than a little happy to see FAT HAPPY COWS! And there are few things more lovely than happy country chickens!

Don't get me wrong, I am not going vegetarian, however this has made me think about how I shop, what I consume, how my $$$ talks. I think we all need to add beauty back into all aspects of our lives.

My grandmother had Ivy growing in front of her house.
I loved the way it climbed, it always looked so pretty near
the diamond pained windows of her house.
Now I have Ivy growing at my house.
I sure wish my Grandma was here,
 I think she would love my little house in the country,
 I miss her.
