60 MINUTES

I try to put in 60 minutes of peddling each morning. I love my front window view as I do.
I spend that hour reading CNN’s 5 THINGS  and GOOD STUFF. I talk with my Heavenly Father, I pray for my children and my grandchildren, the people in my life and all the other people too. I plan out my day, I revisit my goals. I try to be mindful, but God and I both know my mind wanders. All is quiet as I peddle, I can hear the birds sharing their stories and I can see the breeze in the trees.
I love this 60 minutes for me!

REDISCOVERING TREASURES

My darling daughter asked me if I still had The Mousy Village map that we used for stories when the kids were little. I haven’t seen it in years. I’m sure I have put it somewhere very safe, but I have not seen it an along time.
But I looked through some boxes that I haven’t opened in several moves. And even though I didn’t find the beloved map I rediscovered pictures of my oldest two daughters that I was tickled to see. ♥️

NEW DUTCH WORDS

Huidhonger
Dutch for 'skin hunger'
This describes the longing for human contact
people are feeling while in isolation.
 Another interesting one?
 Coronahufter, or "coronajerk":
someone who violates social distancing
or safety rules while in public.

KITCHEN THINGS

BEST PART

I am a firm believer in finding the best part of every situation.
Here is my Coronavirus takeaway today.

We have all been self quarantining for what seems like far too long.
But today is Noah’s 13th Birthday. So the word was sent out, on FB of course,
and a dozen or so cars all lined up at the nearby church parking lot. Then we all
Paraded by to say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
It was super cool! He didn’t know anything about it until him momma
pulled him out of the house. Then he was upset, for a minute!
Until everyone started honking and tossing cards and gifts at him as we all drove by!
This is something we need to keep doing, in sickness and in health!
BEST PART!!!
♥️

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Whoever uses the spirit that is in him creatively is an artist.
To make living itself an art, that is the goal.”

SUNDAY DRIVE

I took a Kentucky Sunday drive today.
As always I was delighted and amazed
at the beauty around me.
I drove backroads I had never been on before,
I went to places that look like fairytales.
I saw farmland, forests, steams and rushing rivers.
Today I saw cattle, even herds of long horn,
I saw more horses then I could count.
I saw a wild turkey, and pigs playing in mud.
I saw every shade of green; rolling hills covered in trees,
meadows of tall spring grasses.
I saw fields of bright yellow flowers.
Every once in a while I would see purple iris’s,
almost like the Lord places them randomly to tell me he was there,
thinking of me.
I have a love affair going on with Kentucky.
I am so glad to call this lovely part of the country my home!
♥️♥️♥️
I went to Mammoth Cave National Park,
Cave City and Glasgow, Kentucky.

WORD

I was watching a bit of ”Barnwood Builders” this evening and one of their truck guys always calls everybody a Pot Licker. He does it all in fun, but I didn’t know what it meant. So I googled it.
“Pot Licker: a low and contemptible person, one with no pride and no principles.”
I don’t like it.
But there are several folks that it fits.

YOGI

Oh my stinking heck!
