VANADIUM

Vanadium is an essential element.

Pure vanadium is a greyish silvery metal, and is soft and ductile. It has good corrosion resistance to alkalis, sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and salt waters. The metal oxidizes readily above 660°C to form V2O5. Industrially, most vanadium produced is used as an additive to improve steels.

Vanadium was discovered by Andres Manuel del Rio and Nils Sefström in the year 1801 in Mexico and Sweden. Named after "Vanadis", the goddess of beauty in Scandinavian mythology.

CHARLOTTE

I spent about an hour with Charlotte today. She lives in a little town named Rockville. We talked about banking and politics, religion and coffee. She was delightful! She told me that she liked her coffee black, and it was against her religion to ever mix chocolate into her coffee. I told her if she ever wanted to see how the other side lives, she could try a Chocolate Chip Frappe! She said that it had just snowed there but that the road that leads to McDonald's is cleared because it's the rout the school bus takes! 

Charlotte and I agreed that cable T.V. is over priced and we won't pay for it. She talked about the presidents from farther back than my life span, and had colorful things to say about them all. The Clinton's took the brunt of her creative charm! She hopes to live long enough to see New Jersey's Governor Chris Christie run for President. WHY? Well her children ask her that too. She says "All politicians are crooks, none of them can tell two groups of people the same story. But I like Christie for his body!" ......

OK...now I had never seen Governor Chris Christie before; remember I don't watch T.V., so I googled him!

I told Charlotte I had to see her love interest and to please hold just a moment....... 

When I got the politician on my monitor I laughed out loud! 

She said "He waddles when he walks!" "You should be able to at least enjoy something about the person you vote for!" 

I helped her with her accounts, told her I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I hoped she would the enjoyed the Chocolate Chip Frappe and I would take a closer look "from afar" at her New Jersey political love interest!! 

RAY

I met a man named Ray. We talked for over an hour the other day. He was very nice, I enjoyed talking with him. He told me how he had struggled in some of his classes at school, and excelled at others. How a high school chemistry professor had bought him a gallon of alcohol, because he trusted him. Ray made good on that arrangement and only used the booze for an experiment. After high school he joined the army and served some time for our country. When he got home, he applied for college. But because his grades where not so great in high school the college said he wasn't a very good scholastic risk. So he turned around and got a job with IBM. The job title was the equivalent of a 2 year degree, and he went on to be a very successful programmer. Until he refused to use programming that was unproductive and not user friendly. The stand he made brought about changes in programming, and his early retirement.(Don't worry, Ray was WELL taken care of!)
I enjoyed listening to all of Rays stories, and all his wisdom. Each time he gave an additional nugget of truth, he would say 
"See where I'm coming from?"
He taught me that there are: FACT OPINION and BELIEF and that we all must be accountable for our own belief. I like that. 
Ray has quite a bit of money in the bank, he lives in West Virginia, and he has no problem telling stories about his 'out house' with no door. A very well spent hour!

I did some Pinterest, I did my taxes and made a kick @$% housework playlist. The dusting is done and the floors are vacuumed and mopped. The kitchen is cleaned and so are the bathrooms. All the laundry did get washed at one point, but that is never ending. I made chicken broccoli braids, home made shells and cheese and oatmeal strawberry bars. I sent some love notes and spent time with my children, and I saw a friend. I slept for 12 hours two nights in a row, thanks to melatonin. My man loves me, my son loves me, my dog loves me, my beautiful daughter is getting married to her wonderful man and my teenager hates me. All in all it's been a full weekend.

IT'S GOOD TO LAUGH

I just have to share....I woke up at 3am Friday morning. Work was work, I am sure I work for a company owned by the antiChrist. Had an altercation with my least favorite person on earth. Met one of my dearest friends for a Girls Night out. Had dinner with friends. Watched the Olympic Opening Cerimony on DVR. Watched painfully stupid cable programming, only to find that I may be the only person on earth not to find it funny. Talked to the love of my life for 5 1/2 hours. Then, after being awake for 26 hours, I thought it would be smart to check out FB for a minute. Ended up reading "Cell phone autocorrect funnies" for 30 minutes. I know I'm really tired, but that is some hilariously funny stuff!!! It's nearly 6:30 am, I'm going to sleep!

WICKED WEDNESDAY

Band practice drove me far from home today. I ended up in a quiet spot, where I could hear the birds singing in the trees and I watch the ducks swimming in the little pond. I could see the mountains all around the valley. It was 59 degrees with just a bit of a breeze, chilly, but not cold. It was beautiful. 
But the sunset was amazing!!!
