I love the view of the flags and the freeway.

I also love that the grass is always green. 

The small tree right there in the center

 is great, because it is one of the few 

that changes with the seasons.

Team Work

The kids wanted Deviled Eggs.

So I boiled the eggs and told the kids they needed to help peel them.

This was a brand new concept for Cookie. 

So here they are at the kitchen sink. 

Needless to say...they kids eggs were unidentifiable. 

I finally stepped in and peeled the remainder of the eggs. 

Rainy Sunday Morning

I stayed in bed this morning. 

The morning was grey and glorious. 

And I was toasty under my flannel 

sheets and beautiful comforter.

But all good things come to an end. 

I pulled my lazy self out of heaven

at 11 am and the day started!!!!

My darling daughter sent me this by text. I glanced at it and replied, "What is this?"

She said  "Perhaps you should hum it, like you use to when I was little and going to sleep."

(I remember my mother singing the song when I was a little girl. I don't speak French, I didn't know the words. I have always sung it the way I remember it from my childhood. I have many of the words wrong. 

But in my head it is still beautiful. And I would sing it to my babies, and even when they got older, at night before bed, it was one of our favorites. I hope my babies sing it to their babies, its such a tender song.)

The kids and I went out to dinner last night. Mark and Amy had been here before and totally loved it.

I was delightfully surprised. Yes it is fast food. Yes they do make greasy burgers and fries.

But that is where the similarity

to any other fast food place stop.

There was a nice atmosphere. The employees were great, really great! The food was really yummy!

The price wasn't more than anyother take out in the area. And we had a great time together.

Have I mentioned that I love spending time with my kids? I do! They are GREAT!

So...Culver's gets my seal of approval!!

Chilly Morning

The tepurature was 27 degrees this morning on my commute to work. No ice on my windshield and very little traffic on the freeway. Warm gloves, a hoody and a great heater in the Tahoe! I love winter. I would like to play in some snow though!!!
