ADVENT CALANDAR

Kim and Amanda made me an advent calendar

They filled each day with a treasure for me!

My Kentuckiana Kids and I celebrated Christmas on December 17th this year, it fit into work and travel plans, and gave us time to be together. I love these young friends of mine. They are delightful! I am blessed to have them in my life. They are so good to me!

(And they spoil me! I love that!!)

Mountains

As we drove along the 101 highway, I took these pics of some of the nearby mountains. 

I know now that I took my surroundings for granted all the years I lived here. You get to used to what you see everyday, and the awe and beauty are waisted on you. As I looked closer yesterday I marveled at the beauty in the lava rock and how the native saguaro cactus pepper the area. Beautiful!

(Again, a great place to visit, my heart still calls Kentucky home)

Flying Back To Phoenix

I love to travel! I love to go to new places and old adventures. Really there is always something exciting about traveling! I always get a window seat, so that I can watch the world roll by. It fascinates me. 

Heading home to Phoenix is a bittersweet trip. I love to see my children, those that will be seen, and I love the familiarity. As I watch out the airplane window, 15 minutes from landing, the colors are almost comforting. The barren desert shades are beautiful. And mountains, oh how I love the mountains!

It's nice to see my home away from home.

9" What?

I know it's silly, but apart from you saying you love me, and those other Best Parts, telling me that you found the 9" rear end made me so incredibly happy!
I am still confused and usure if you are trying to break my heart again or if you truly meant what you said. But I really have no idea what a early 1970's 9" inch rear end is at all.
All the information of the last couple days has confused me and incredibly delighted me beyond belief.

Hours to Go

It seemed like such a long wait. I finally deleted the count down app from my iPhone, it was frustrating. The seasons changed, the days got short. Now here it is! Just hours away! I fly out in the morning and my son has already made plans for a late lunch plans for us! I am taking my coat but plan to buy new flip flops while I'm there! Hello Phoenician Vacation!

As I cleaned out a hand bag today, that I haven't used in about a year, I found this calendar. If I would have come across this days ago, I would have sadly tossed it away and shed a few tears. But finding it today, it made my heart melt a bit. 2017 was very very difficult. But you have given my heart hope and you have given me hope a light to the end of the tunnel. So when I looked at the second page, 2018, I filled it in. Let's make this our year, together.
