A Quote for You
“Saying goodbye doesn’t mean anything.
It’s the time we spent together that matters,
Not how we left it.”

Fall in Kentucky
The drive down Parish this morning reminded me how much I love Kentucky in the fall.
The small town charm with all the old architecture just delights me.
But to see the autumn colors splashed along the tree covered roads is an amazing awe inspired sight.
The confetti of fall colored leaves that showered my car as I drove out of town made me giggle.

Jury Duty
I had jury duty today. It was the third time I was called, but the first time they really needed me.
It was interesting listening to the explanation of process and definition of terms. It was interesting to listen to the questions we, the jury were asked. I think the prosecutor did not like that I answered a question about the government being too lenient or strict on drug abuse. I said that I feel they are too lenient. When asked why I felt that way, I replied “You just said drug cases are one of the most common criminal cases currently. If the repercussions were stricter, perhaps the wouldn’t have so many of these cases.” And I do t think the defense liked that I have had no history of drug addition in my close circle of family and friends. Oh well, it was an interesting morning!
I won’t be called for jury duty again, for at least 24 months.
