ADD THIS TO THE LIST
This was a long two day weekend; a concert, dinner out to catch the Suns playing on the home court, a hotel stay out of town, catching up with friends and family, keeping up some favorite weekend traditions, like back road drives, hanging out in familiar spots and chocolate chip cookies. I’m exhausted. But there was one new experience for my todo list!

ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Johnny Appleseed’s real name was John Chapman. He was born in Leominster, Massachusetts in 1774. His dream was to produce so many apples that no one would ever go hungry. Although legend paints a picture of Johnny as a dreamy wanderer, planting apple seeds throughout the countryside, research reveals him to be a careful, organized businessman, who over a period of nearly fifty years, bought and sold tracts of land and developed thousands of productive apple trees.

IN THE BACKYARD
The trees in my backyard are so pretty. I love it when the the Locusts are in bloom!
And in my sun room… my seeds are sprouting and my herbs are starting to flourish.
My green thumb is rejoicing!
FAST & LOUD
The earsplitting roar, the smell of rubber and gas and the rumble that tickles your skin…yes please!
FARMERS MARKET
Fresh beautiful tomatoes for sandwiches on a sour dough loaf baked this morning. 
And big green tomatoes for frying.
Always see friends to stop and chat with. And while looking at tomato starters Mr McDonald came by and said he has some waiting in the greenhouse for us.

LUMBERJACKS
Over the years I have sent hundreds of travelers to Alaska. Many times I have been asked if I would like a souvenir as a thank you. I always say no… “But if you can bring me back a lumberjack, that would be great… about 60 plus please!”
I have received a charming collection of moose’s and other Alaska treasures, that I graciously adore. But today, my coworker who is currently in Alaska sent me this Lumberjack pics! And although these hot guys are far too young to scale my tree, the picture sure did make my heart happy!
