We spoke of new spots to explore and travel options.
I learned about her current life style and her past.
I showed her several options and sent her home to do some homework.

Spectacular

Watching the topography change from thousands of feet above the ground is one of the most spectacular things I have ever had the privilege to see.  

White

Flying in February is something I haven’t done before.
The ground is covered in snow and the sky is covered in clouds.
Everything is white.

Beirut

I have a dear friend that is a compulsive clean freak.
On her days off she is always cleaning a closet or some such thing.
She had endearingly nick named this as
"I am going to Beirut, Lebanon"
I figure that if Miss Clean Freak can call her closest Beirut,
then mine must be the aftermath of World War Three!

72 Hours

72 hours to go.
This time Friday the plane will be boarding.
I am so excited to see my children.
I am excited to see the mountains, the desert rain,
the drive through Sedona. The Mexican food!!!
Counting down the hours.

life update

Work has kept me very busy lately. And I am grateful. I have brought home plenty of boxes to pack my apartment. The lease is up at the end of May, not sure where I’m going, but I’m ready to go. I have that urgent feeling to pack up and move on.
My trip home is only days away and the excitement to be going home, being surrounded by warm and familiar is overwhelming. I want to be there, it soak it all in, to realign all the parts of my life kind of. Tonight I’m going to refine my travel plans so I can make the most of my time in the Valley of the Sun. So much to see and do.
Funny how my path forks.

Perfect Weather

Earlier this week there was snow and black ice. Temps dropped far below freezing.
Today the thermometer reads 67 degrees and we have all the windows open.
Airing out the house and enjoying spring like weather. Perfect for an afternoon nap!
Winter is not over and Sping is not here, but I will enjoy the perfection when I can get it!
