Years ago I flew up to Utah to visit my friend Tammy. My visit lasted several days and I had a rental car at my disposal. The month of May is a beautiful time to visit Utah, there is still snow on the mountains and the flowers are all blooming. They have seasons there, and for the girl from the Valley of the Sun this was a true treat. While my dear friend was at work, I went on a road trip. But first I stopped at the farmers market and picked up a basket of blueberries. I had not grown up with these jewls of juicy goodness, but I fell in love with them.
Since that road trip so long ago, I find that blueberries are a staple on a good road trip. So today, as I take a drive with my personal copilot, I have a container of blueberries in my console.The scenery here in the Midwest is as lovely as Utah was so long ago, and my love of the drive has grown and grown.
