A dear friend said
these words to me
“YOU DESERVE BETTER”
At different times in my life I have said these words to myself.
But then that thought trickles
out of my head,
like sand though my fingers.
But as I feel a fork in the
road approaching,
I remember my friends words.
YOU DESERVE BETTER
And in my head I say them,
over and over,
until the gray matter cobwebs
stir, and I can see that,
I DESERVE BETTER.
