Yesterday morning I went for an early morning drive. The fog was cool and dense. I am always thrilled and delighted to see just how beautiful this area is. Everything is lush and green. I drove roads I have driven many times before, and viewed on Google Earth many times before I moved here.

We stopped at a charming little spot, green grassy areas, surrounded by woods. It was a beautiful early morning.

I love it here!

A page from my journal:

I am in Los Angels this morning. I have come to support Jessette as she looks into Otis College of Art. It is portfolio day and she is giving them a look at hers. There are many schools being represented here. It's a cheery chilly morning here in LA. We have another hour to wait. The line is long. Jessette is drawing.The diversity here us so amazing. There are so many cultures represented, and the clothes are wonderful/funky. There is so much to see.
Last night we stayed at a very skanky, icky hotel, called The Hollywood Inn. Scary!!!  But we had a great time. The drive over was nice, then we drive through Beverly Hills, and Rodeo Drive. The houses are amazing, the shops were lovely. But just blocks from there it's icky.
I'm glad we rented a car for our trip, it is nice. There are so many things to see, we want to go to the beach today. There are so many highways. We got lost at one point, and there was no trafic where we were, it all looked new. There was a police car with two officers in it, so we asked for diections and he told us what way to go. He shared his almonds with us. He was super!
I am so grateful to be on this trip with my daughter. She is a delight, and I'm so proud of her for following her dreams!

*This was an amazing trip. I loved the time with my girl! She is an amazing woman.

A Busy Day

Yesterday, I checked out the interior of a charming little church, at the corner of Resurrection and New Harmony. I walked through lovely gardens. I chose a delightful little restaurant for a dinner. I viewed dresses by the dozens and dozens. I viewed jewelry options. (I got the one I wanted!) I did some flower arraigning. I ended the day with some organization and placement. It was a good day!

I planted 4 tomato plants yesterday. The dirt in my backyard is so amazing. Again, I am delighted at the ability to just dig a hole, place a little seed or plant in, add water and voila!! It grows. I am humbled by the perfection of the process. There are worms in the rich soil, and although I find them to be really creepy, my tomato plants have made friends with them! So, I welcome the worms.
I am thinking of planting some other things in my little garden...like squash, zucchini, green beans and watermelon. I am going to try my hand at making trellises for them to grow on. We will see how it all goes! 
(I also love how moss grows here, all by itself....it's so pretty!)

We heard her barking, but there are alot of new faces on the farm, so we didn't worried. But to see how all the cows came over to see her was so cute. She was much more brave from farther away, but did pretty good with a human nearby!

Star Wars..... I was 12 when it came out. And I waited in line for hours at the Cina Capri. (On 24th street and Camelback Rd, back when that was the ultimate place to be).
I enjoyed the Star Wars thing back then, still like it today.
(At twelve I had a crush on Luke, now I think Obi One Kenobi is way doable!)

I took a walk down by the creek this morning. Everything is green and there are yellow flowers everywhere. The sound of the birds, the rushing creek and the breeze in the trees made it a beautiful morning!

DReaMS

I've been having some very vivid dreams lately. Lots of detail, and people I know and love.
This morning I fell back to sleep at about 6:30. The dream I woke to had not only been very detailed, but the woman in my dream answered the questions I have been pondering.
They say it is your subconscious that plays out your dreaming dramas.
It's silly nonsense that I normally wake up to, but this time I was grateful to wake up remembering the advice I was given in my dream.

Sibling Afternoon

I skyped with Mark and Jessette today. So nice to be able to see them both! They are doing lunch together and hanging out for the afternoon. I love that they love each other! Happy momma moments!!!

MAY DAY

May Day....I remember being in kindergarten and doing a Mayday Maypole dance. I remember the ribbons and the pole and that we danced and wove the ribbons as we went. I think it is part of the celebration of spring. However, some of the things you read about it, on google, are a bit disturbing. I just remember how pretty it was!
